Ruth E. Campbell
Age, 94, of Newark, DE, died on Friday, December 9, 2011 in the Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE.
Ruth was an avid quilter and an active member of the Waverly Club, New Garden Sewing Club, and the Needlework Guild during her adult Life. Joining her with her sewing was Jeanette & Julie, making it 3 generations sewing for charity. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Samuel W. Campbell Sr. She is survived by her two sons: John F. Campbell and his wife Jeanette and Samuel W. Campbell Jr. Grandchildren, Julie and her husband Aaron Tokarski, Jeffery and his wife Jennifer, Samuel Campbell III and his wife Victoria, Scott and his wife Laurie, Robert and his wife Heidi. Great-grandchildren, Alex, Abigail, Amanda, Aiden, Allison, Joseph, Calin, Elizabeth, Chloe, Jude, James and Tyler.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, at 11 am at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike in Hockessin. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Ruth's memory to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
